  • Dallas Richard Hallam

    Dallas Hallam has over two decades’ worth of experience in media arts. After receiving a degree in Cinema and Comparative Literature from the University of Iowa, Dallas moved to Los Angeles where he made films and videos from the ground up. Working across a spectrum of the filmmaking process, Dallas has directed, produced, and edited films and videos for a variety of studios and clients over the years.

    In 2008, Dallas sold his first feature-length documentary (Let’s be Active) to Sick Room Records. The film documented the Let’s be Active Tour featuring the talented William Elliott Whitmore. In 2011, Dallas sold his first feature film, Entrance, to IFC. Entrance went on to garner festival acclaim and was written up in Entertainment Weekly as one of Stephen King’s favorite indie releases of the year.

    After the success of Entrance, Dallas went on to co-direct the sequel The Pact II as well as co-write one of the segments in the well-regarded horror anthology, Southbound.

    Most recently, Dallas directed (along with producer Ben Lewis) the festival audience favorite Understanding Scott McCloud’s Zot!

  • R.J. Lavine

    R.J. Lavine is a producer/performer residing in Ithaca, NY, and dedicated five years to developing the professional regional theatre community. As Development Director at the
    Kitchen Theatre Company and Managing Director of the Hangar Theatre Company, R.J. delivered year over year funding gains to increase production values and provide opportunities for local audiences to engage with the work of prominent national artists.

    A member of the Cherry Arts Collective (Ithaca, NY), recent stage credits include As You Like It (Celia), And What Happens If I Don’t, and Voices of Ukraine. R.J. also served as props manager for Fertile Grounds (Civic Ensemble) and Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them (Kitchen Theatre Company).

    On screen roles include Bad Things (dir. Stewart Thorndike) and a plethora of Moms in various Ithaca College student thesis films. R.J. has studied acting at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute (NYC) and Actor’s Workshop of Ithaca. They’ve studied writing for stage and screen at Dramatist Guild and Barrow Group. R.J. holds a B.A. in International Studies from American University and is an Executive MBA candidate at Cornell University.

  • A.P. Boland

    A.P. Boland worked as a freight railroad conductor before leaving to attend the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. While earning a master’s in screenwriting, A.P. worked in the offices of Dark Castle Entertainment and Ghost House Productions. A.P. is also an accomplished long-distance hiker, having completed a 2,200-mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail.
